Urban Playground is home to two interactive attractions: Putters, an immersive mini golf experience, and THE CUBE, a challenge-based game experience inspired by the hit TV show. We are committed to being as inclusive as possible and aim to provide clear and transparent information about accessibility across our venue.

Venue Access

Urban Playground is located on the Upper Mall of Manchester Arndale, in Manchester city centre.

• The Upper Mall is accessible via:
  • A large staircase
  • A lift (door width: 105cm)
  • An escalator (width: 100cm)
• The venue spans two floors:
  • THE CUBE is located on the ground floor
  • Putters spans both the ground floor and the upper level, accessible via:
    • A lift (door width: 88cm)
    • An escalator (width: 100cm)
    • Two large staircases
• There is a variety of seating and dining setups throughout the venue, including wheelchair-accessible seating options.

Putters – Mini Golf Experience

• Putters features three 9-hole interactive mini golf courses.
• All golf holes are raised and accessed via steps. There is no level access to the playing surfaces.
• Each hole includes:
  • Step 1: 14cm high
  • Step 2: 14cm high
  • Additional step down: 11cm onto the playing surface

Wheelchair Accessibility – Putters

• Due to the stepped access, Putters is not currently wheelchair accessible.
• The experience is not suitable for guests who are unable to navigate steps.
• We are actively exploring future opportunities to improve accessibility across this attraction.

THE CUBE – Challenge Experience

• THE CUBE is located on the ground floor and is fully wheelchair accessible.
• All Cubes are level access, with no steps required to enter or participate.
• We offer a range of accessible games, and many can be adapted to meet individual needs.
• We encourage guests to contact us in advance to discuss any specific access requirements, and we will do our best to accommodate them.

Sensory Considerations

Throughout the venue, guests may encounter:

• Bright flashing lights
• Continuous flashing/strobe effects
• Loud background music
• Overlapping audio from multiple attractions
• Sudden or sporadic sound effects

Some areas of the venue have dim ambient lighting.

• Assistance dogs are welcome. Other pets are not permitted.
• Crowding may occur during peak hours, which can limit movement space.
• Minimum age for entry is 9 years, and all guests under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
